  On March 1, 2023, gardaí executed a search warrant at the home of Rourke Gleeson (28) of Tullaheady, Nenagh, Co Tipperary, and found €4,500 worth of cocaine, €1,500 of cannabis and associated items. Gleeson, whom the court was told has 27 previous convictions, pleaded guilty at Nenagh District Court to possession of cocaine for unlawful sale or supply and possession of cannabis, and the defence said he had incurred a drug debt. On 4 November 2024 the judge disregarded letters about his engagement with addiction services, said that engagement had only begun in September 2024, declined to order a probation report and adjourned the case for nine months. No sentence has been reported, and the court will decide next steps if a residential programme or employment is not complete by July 24, 2025.
