latest first- Alleged fraud over pub funds case adjourned in Cork Fraud (alleged); misappropriation of company funds · Co. Cork
A pub business in Cork funded by Anglo Irish Bank loans accumulated €2.5m in debt by 2018. Business partners Ronan O'Gara and Michael O'Flynn alleged breach of trust and misappropriation of company funds by John O'Driscoll, with O'Gara saying 'you've fleeced me' in a sworn statement. Ezeon, the company, also claims significant stock is missing, and O'Gara put €20,000 into the business in 2019 to keep it afloat. O'Driscoll's side denies the claims. A High Court insolvency hearing on 12 December 2022, where Ezeon applied to set aside O'Driscoll's personal insolvency arrangement, was adjourned to mid-January 2023.
