On 20 April 2024 a Nissan Qashqai driven by Roman Holub (32) collided with another vehicle on the N52 at Kilbeggan South, Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath, damaging its rear, and a number of people were taken to hospital. Mr Holub, a father of two, pleaded guilty to careless driving at Tullamore District Court, and the judge fined him €300 with six months to pay and did not disqualify him from driving. The most recent reported development, in a report published on 3 February 2025, is that legal aid was granted to him and backdated to January.

On 23 December 2021, Roman Holub, 30, parked a vehicle at a vacant derelict house at Doory, Clara, Offaly, with passengers Dezider Ziga, 38, and Frantisek Ziga, 18, who had been drinking and wanted to relieve themselves. Nothing was taken from the property on the farm. All three men pleaded guilty to trespassing at Tullamore District Court on 18 February 2022. Judge Catherine Staines imposed the Probation Act on all three defendants, who were assisted by an interpreter.
