Robert Gasior, 44, a man from Lawnsdale, Ballybofey, was charged over an incident on 3 November 2021 in a shop in Ballybofey, Donegal. He was abusive to staff and refused to wear a mask, then became verbally abusive to Gardaí when they arrived on the scene. He initially refused to wear the mask but later complied. He appeared at Letterkenny District Court on 14 December 2021, where Judge Raymond Finnegan ordered him to pay €200 to Letterkenny Boxing Club. His solicitor stated he was unable to work as his place of employment had not reopened due to Covid-19.
