  Renee Donohoe, a woman whose age and nationality are not given in the sources, was convicted at Kilkenny District Court of assault and public order offences after spitting at two gardaí. Gardaí were called to a Kilkenny restaurant on January 14, where Donohoe became aggressive and ignored their directions, and on June 21 at 12.30am they found her asleep on a grass verge. The spitting incidents took place as she was taken to the garda station, one on the way there and one while she was being processed. Judge Power imposed two-month sentences on each charge, to run consecutively, but suspended them in full for 12 months, and the case was reported on July 9, 2025, with Donohoe engaging with the substance misuse team in Kilkenny.
