  Raymond Lacatos, a 40-year-old man of no fixed abode, was extradited from Slovenia under a European Arrest Warrant to face five burglary charges in Letterkenny, Donegal. The alleged offences took place between May 2018 and March 2023 and include the theft of €5,000 in cash from Asian Foods and more than €70,000 in jewellery from Curiosity Corner. He was remanded in custody at Letterkenny District Court, and the Director of Public Prosecutions consented to him being sent forward for trial at the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court commencing on 5 May.
