    Raymond Considine (39), a man from Portarlington, was stopped on an e-scooter at Canal Road in Portarlington on 22 June 2023, and gardaí said cocaine valued at €500 was found in his possession. Gardaí said he had been seen leaving a halting site at 8.40pm before being followed and stopped. He appeared before Portlaoise District Court, where Judge Susan Fay ordered a probation report. The latest reported development is that he was remanded on bail to appear again before Portlaoise District Court on June 9, as reported in January 2025.
