  Randi Dextroy Gladston, 39, a Guyana national of no fixed abode who lives in Suriname, rented an apartment in Dún Laoghaire, Dublin, and is charged with failing to notify gardaí of his presence in the State within seven days. He had booked accommodation there for two weeks from 11 August and attempted to take a ferry to the UK on 26 August but was refused access. On 29 August 2023 he appeared at Dublin District Court, where Judge John Brennan released him on €500 bail with conditions, and the case is to be dealt with on indictment at the Circuit Court. He was ordered to appear again on 10 October.
