Vipul Dhoot, a 39-year-old Indian man, and Rajeesh Dhoot, 33, are charged over allegedly fictitious expenses totalling €1.2 million siphoned from financial institutions in Dublin. Vipul Dhoot faces 10 counts of stealing €293,803 from a Dublin City firm, while Rajeesh Dhoot is accused of possessing €46,000 in proceeds of crime. Vipul Dhoot was refused bail at Dublin District Court in 2021. The trial at the Circuit Criminal Court was delayed to 12 January after a large file of new evidence arrived late and has not yet been examined by a forensic accountant. Rajeesh Dhoot's sign-on requirement at Kevin Street Garda Station was relaxed from twice a week to every two weeks.
