Rachel Nolan, a woman who runs Rachel's Irish Adventures, was found by a National Transport Authority inspector on 12 June 2025 driving a vehicle carrying passengers on a tour at the Sliabh Liag cliffs in Donegal without the required licence. She was charged with two offences under the Taxi Regulation Acts: driving a vehicle for carriage of persons for reward that was not a licensed small public service vehicle, and driving for reward without a licence to drive a small public service vehicle. At Glenties District Court, she told Judge Emile Daly she had not realised the requirement applied to her and said she had since obtained her licence and passed an industrial test. She was fined €200 for each offence and ordered to pay €200 in costs on each.
