  Three Jordanian men were charged with robbery and assault causing harm in Kilkenny City on 30 December 2025. The robbery is alleged to have occurred at the Peace Park and the assault on Wolfe Tone Street, after the alleged injured party was unhappy with the accused smoking near the centre. The three men, who were living in an IPAS centre in Kilkenny, were arrested and appeared at Kilkenny District Court, where the defence said the clients wished to contest the charges. Judge Geraldine Carthy remanded them on continuing bail to 19 May.
