  A violent clash outside a fast food restaurant on O'Connell Street in Limerick City on Friday 9 February 2024 at about 9:40pm left two men with non-life-threatening stab wounds, and a pregnant woman was allegedly attacked with a Stanley knife. Pierce Doran, 26, and Wayne Kennedy, 39, were arrested and charged with violent disorder and other offences. Both men appeared before a special sitting of Limerick District Court at Nenagh on 11 February, where bail was refused and they were remanded to 13 February. Doran, who suffered wounds to his leg and face, was too ill to appear on 13 February and was further remanded to 27 February, as was Kennedy.
