• Philip Crowley jailed for stabbing man twice in back of head in Raheny, Dublin Assault causing harm · Co. Dublin

Philip Crowley, 33, of Lein Park, Raheny, pleaded guilty to assault causing harm after stabbing a man twice in the back of the head with a knife in Raheny, Dublin, on 22 October 2021. The attack followed a tussle that began when the victim, who was walking his seven-month-old baby, spotted Crowley getting out of a taxi; the victim later returned to a house Crowley had entered and was stabbed when Crowley came out carrying a knife. The injuries required stitches to close two wounds and the victim was taken to hospital by ambulance. In March 2025, Judge Martin Nolan at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court sentenced Crowley to three years, suspending the final 16 months on strict conditions.
