latest first- High Court continues hearing in Galway will fraud case Fraud (alleged) · Co. Galway
Margaret Hernon, a woman aged 91, died in March 2017 in Galway, leaving a 2006 will that gave the bulk of her estate, once valued at €9 million, to Peter O'Toole, a man in his 70s. More than 40 relatives, led by Gus Kelehan, have asked the High Court to set aside the will, claiming it was procured by deceit and undue influence. O'Toole was investigated by gardaí over alleged fraud, and the DPP decided no prosecution would take place on one file while another remains pending. The hearing before Mr Justice Cian Ferriter is ongoing.
