Pearse O'Connor, a 39-year-old man from Rampark, Jenkinstown, north Louth, uploaded false invoices between January and June 2015 to draw down money from Keys Commercial Finance Limited, which had to write off just under €370,000 after his company, Pearse Roofing and Cladding Limited, went into liquidation. He pleaded guilty at Dundalk Circuit Court in January 2022 to invoice fraud, fraudulent trading, and forged accounts, avoiding a trial of up to four weeks. He was sentenced to a bond of good behaviour and alcohol abstinence and banned from acting as an officer of any company for life.
