  Garda Peadar Óg Ó Gríofa, 33, a man from Navan, Co Meath, is alleged to have damaged a grey Toyota Yaris in a collision at Annaghvaan, Lettermore, Co Galway on 17 March 2025. He was served five summonses, one for dangerous driving and four for hit-and-run offences including failure to stop, remain, give information, and report damage. He appeared before Judge Fiona Lydon at Derrynea District Court on 25 November 2025, represented by barrister Ernie Whyte, and the case was adjourned to January 2026. An Garda Síochána confirmed the garda, who was attached to Bridewell Garda Station in Dublin, had been suspended from duty.
