On 6 September 2019, Aidan Kestell, 55, was convicted of raping Paula Doyle, his wife's friend, at Hartstown Park in Dublin 15 after walking her home from a party at his house. Gardaí traced anonymous explicit messages sent to Doyle to a phone owned by Kestell, and he was arrested and interviewed several times.
