latest first- Man ordered arrested for contempt of court over Dublin ESB substation Contempt of court · Co. Dublin
The ESB brought proceedings in May 2024 over Glen Oglesby, who has been living in a caravan on its electricity substation site in Gloucester Place Upper, Dublin 1. At a 3 May hearing, Mr Justice Mark Sanfey added Glen as a party to the action, which had originally been brought against his brother Paul Oglesby, and adjourned the matter. Glen told the court he has nowhere else to go and had previously promised to leave the site but did not. On 29 May, the judge found Glen in contempt of court for refusing to vacate the property and ordered Gardaí to arrest him.
