  Paul O'Dwyer of Main Street, Stoneyford, Kilkenny, was charged with five offences under the Child Trafficking and Pornography Act, including possession of child pornography, using information technology to attempt to communicate with a child for sexual exploitation, and attempting to meet a child in Castlecomer. The offences are alleged to have occurred between June 2022 and May 2023, and 44 images and three videos were found on a phone along with 143 images on a laptop. He was sent forward for trial at Kilkenny Circuit Court in April 2024 and entered a guilty plea to all five charges before Judge Jonathan Dunphy in August 2024. He was remanded on continuing bail to the November sittings of Kilkenny Circuit Court for sentencing.
