On 25 November 2025, Alexis Lee Campion, a woman aged 44, was doused with petrol and set alight at her home in Oak Downs, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, suffering near third-degree burns to most of her body, while her partner, a man aged 43 (some reports say 49), was injured trying to extinguish the flames. Gardaí believe the attack was drug-related intimidation, with the partner likely the primary target. Paul Brannigan, 34, was charged with attempted murder and assault causing harm, while Nathan Dolan, 18, and Keith McCabe, 41, were charged with threats to kill and extortion, and all three appeared at Dublin District Court on 28 March 2026, with Brannigan remanded in custody. Three further men were arrested on 5 May 2026 and released without charge on 8 May 2026, with a file to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
