    On 13 September 2020, a man was assaulted at Clarke Railway Station, Dundalk, during the Dublin Belfast Enterprise service, suffering a cut to his left eyebrow. Patrick Stapleton (44) and Aidan Connolly (35) were arrested and charged with assault causing harm, with Stapleton further charged with producing a vape in the course of a fight. Both men entered guilty pleas at Dundalk Circuit Court in March 2022. In March 2024, Judge Dara Hayes suspended in full an 18-month sentence for Connolly.
