  Patrick Jackson, 31, a man, became aggressive and threatened to cut a neighbour with a machete after being asked to stop revving and diffing a car in a driveway at Ashgrove Manor in Killea on 26 March 2019. A female neighbour and her husband confronted Jackson, and he stepped out onto the public pavement to make the threat. He was convicted in his absence at Letterkenny District Court of using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour in a public place. Judge Alan Mitchell was satisfied to proceed without Jackson present. He was fined €250 and given six months to pay.
