Patrick Friel, 34, and Declan Jordan, 31, are charged with making threats to kill and unwarranted demands over property to Frank Larkin, with incidents dating from November 2022 to February 2025 in Donegal. Friel first appeared at Letterkenny District Court in January 2025, where the DPP directed trial on indictment. Both men appeared at Buncrana District Court in May 2025, where Jordan was also charged with possessing a stun gun. On 21 May 2025, books of evidence were served at Carndonagh District Court and both men were sent forward for trial to Letterkenny Circuit Court.
