James Joseph Jordan, 59, and Patrick Fintan Jordan, 55, were sentenced at the Central Criminal Court on 15 January 2026 to nine and a half years each for the rape and indecent assault of their niece, Sabrina Fox, at the family home in Borris-in-Ossory, Co Laois, between 1986 and 1991. The abuse began when Fox was nine and continued until she was 13, occurring up to five days a week. Fox complained to gardaí in 2022 and the younger brother was arrested and interviewed in 2024. Both men pleaded guilty to rape and indecent assault, and Mr Justice Keane imposed the sentences with the final year suspended on strict conditions and a three-year post-release supervision order.
