Pardelian Rostas (22), of Blackpool, Co Cork, is accused of making gain by deception during a cash exchange at Clara Filling Station in Co Offaly on 26 August 2022. It is alleged that he asked for four €50 notes to be changed into €20s, then asked for two €50s to be changed back, and kept five of the ten €20 notes. He first appeared before Portlaoise District Court via video link, as reported on 8 August 2025, and Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said he had refused to sign his bail bond. The case was adjourned to 14 August 2025, when the defendant is ordered to be produced at Portlaoise District Court.

On 20 January 2024, a red Audi A4 estate was driven away from Moneen Drive, Athy, County Kildare, after a man took it for a test drive from the seller following an advertisement on Facebook Marketplace. The car was recovered three days later and returned undamaged. Pardelian Rostas, 23, a man from Tallaght, was prosecuted for the unauthorised taking of the vehicle. At Naas District Court on 31 July 2025, Judge Desmond Zaidan sentenced him to 11 months in custody, backdated to 6 May 2025.
