Padraig Martin, a 45-year-old man with an address at Pinewood Grove, Bay Estate, Co Louth, was the subject of a case at Dundalk District Court over failing to comply with a garda direction. The incident was reported as January 14th last, when he was allegedly abusive to staff in a convenience store after being told he was barred and did not leave Daybreak, Hazelwood Avenue, despite three warnings. His solicitor told the court that he had entered the shop only because his dog had slipped its lead and gone inside while he was walking it. Judge Eirinn McKiernan imposed a €105 fine for failing to comply with the direction of a garda, as reported on 19 May 2023.
