  Pádraig Cunningham, a boy aged three, was fatally injured when struck by a vehicle at around 10.30am on Friday, July 22, 2022, while standing in the yard at the front of the family farm at Ballyduhig, Charleville, Co. Limerick. He was pronounced dead at University Hospital Limerick. Gardaí are treating the death as a tragic accident, and a post mortem will be conducted by a local pathologist. The matter has been referred to the Limerick Coroner for an inquest, and a family liaison officer has been appointed to support his parents, Robert and Denise Cunningham, and three sisters.
