  Ozlet Muwaniri, a 38-year-old woman from Portarlington, pleaded guilty to three assaults: on a female garda at Tullamore Garda Station, Offaly, on May 24; on a staff member at Dunnes Pharmacy, Main Street, Portarlington, on December 9, 2024; and on a security guard at Portlaoise Train Station on March 27. Judge Cody did not prosecute three of 51 charges and took 45 others into consideration. On July 19, 2026, at Portlaoise District Court, she was sentenced to a total of 15 months, with the final five months suspended for two years, and the sentence was backdated to May 25.

  Ozlet Muwaniri, a 38-year-old woman, is accused of burglary at two houses in Crann Nua, Portarlington, Co Laois, on 7 March 2026, and there were people in the house when the alleged burglary occurred. Gardaí arrested her at Crann Nua at midnight on 8 March, and she is also charged with stealing alcohol from Centra, Main Street, Portarlington, on 27 February and with being intoxicated and engaging in threatening and abusive behaviour at Portarlington Leisure Centre on 8 March. At Portlaoise District Court, reported on 13 March 2026, Judge Susan Fay granted her bail with strict conditions and legal aid was granted. The matter was adjourned to Portlaoise District Court on 18 May for DPP directions.
