On 18 May 2025, Laryssa Sales (19) and Otavoio Martin De Sousa (30), both nationals, were arrested during a Kevin Street Drugs Unit operation in Dublin 8. Drugs worth €6,090, including cannabis, cocaine, ketamine, MDMA and benzodiazepines, were found in the glove compartment of De Sousa's car along with €3,000 cash, a scale and bagging. Both were charged with possession of controlled drugs for sale or supply and appeared before Judge Gerard Jones at Dublin District Court on 19 May. Both were refused bail as flight risks, and the case is expected to be sent to the Circuit Court.
