Martin Doyle, 53, a psychiatric nurse from Esker, Knock, Co Mayo, was convicted at the Central Criminal Court of three counts of raping his wife Olivia Tuite and 24 counts of sexually assaulting his daughter Siobhán Moore between 2004 and 2011 when she was aged seven to 15. The offences took place in Kells, Co Meath, and Doon Rock, Gurteen, Co Sligo, and Doyle pleaded not guilty to all charges. Both victims waived their anonymity. On 6 March 2023, Justice Caroline Biggs sentenced Doyle to 12.5 years in prison, reduced from a headline 15 years, with two years of post-release supervision.
