Thomas Cashman, 34, fatally shot nine-year-old schoolgirl Olivia Pratt-Korbel on 22 August 2022 while chasing convicted drug dealer Joseph Nee into the child's home in the Dovecot area of Liverpool. The shooting also injured Olivia's mother Cheryl Korbel, 46, and Nee. A jury at Manchester Crown Court found Cashman guilty of murder, attempted murder, wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life on 30 March 2023. He was sentenced to life imprisonment on 3 April 2023.
