Former Bóthar administrative employee Olivia Cumiskey was made redundant in May 2021 and the Workplace Relations Commission awarded her €6,115 in holiday pay for 53 days of annual leave, finding Bóthar in breach of the Organisation of Working Time Act. Bóthar, a Limerick charity that ceased fundraising after a misappropriation scandal in which the alleged sum rose from €465,000 to €770,000, appealed the decision. In February 2022, Labour Court chairman Kevin Foley set aside the WRC award and reduced it by 77 per cent, granting Cumiskey eight days holiday pay totalling €1,423.
