latest first- Man identified by DNA after school door kicked in at Blessington Burglary · Co. Wicklow
On April 26, 2019, at around 4 am, a door to a boiler room was kicked in at the Educate Together school in Burgage, Blessington, County Wicklow. Oliver Fleming, 47, was identified through DNA taken from blood found at the scene and was prosecuted for burglary at Naas District Court. The defence said he was very drunk, unable to get a taxi, and had intended to stay in the boiler room, and noted the damage to the door was minor. The case was adjourned to September 6, and the judge proposed a €1,000 contribution to the school, with a €300 fine to be imposed if the contribution was made.
