A violent public order incident occurred at William Street, Tullamore, Offaly, on Sunday 11 July 2021 at around 11.30pm, fuelled by excessive drinking. In March 2022, Shane O'Toole (24), David O'Toole (25) and Oisin Rice (21) were sent for trial at Tullamore Circuit Court, where they pleaded guilty to violent disorder, with Rice additionally admitting to assaulting Costello causing him harm.
