• Man sentenced to three years for knife production in Dublin Production on an article (two counts) · Co. Dublin

On the morning of 28 May 2024, Oisin Peavoy, 39, an Irish man from Granby Row, Dublin 1, allegedly brandished a knife at a woman with a baby at Parnell Square and at a school bus carrying children aged six to 12 at Gardiner Street Upper in Dublin city centre. He was arrested that morning and charged with four offences, including two counts of production on an article and two Public Order Act counts. After being remanded in custody and having a fitness-to-plead psychiatric assessment ordered, Peavoy pleaded guilty to the two production counts at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. On 7 March 2025, Judge Martin Nolan sentenced him to three years in prison, suspended the final two years for two years, and placed him under Probation Services supervision for 18 months post-release.
