  On 15 June 2025, Nora Margaret Doyle, a 29-year-old woman from Limerick, was detected driving a Volkswagen Passat at 138km/h on the M7 motorway near Roscrea, County Tipperary. A fixed charge penalty notice was issued after the detection. At Nenagh District Court, Doyle said she never received the fixed penalty notice or the summons, but the judge found her guilty of speeding, relying on a signed An Post certificate and garda proof of postage. The court fined her €250 and gave her four months to pay, as reported on 21 and 22 January 2026.
