    A 37-year-old woman, Nakita Grogan, of Portarlington, is accused of causing €285 in damage to Christmas lights and a gutter on 25 February 2026 and assaulting a man causing harm on 26 February 2026, both at Ballymorris Manor, Portarlington. She appeared before Portlaoise District Court in May 2026, where Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby requested two to three months for DNA samples and the matter was adjourned to 21 September for DPP directions. At a further hearing in October 2026, the defence solicitor said the two incidents were unrelated, and Judge Gubbins granted legal aid and adjourned the matters to 23 November 2026 for DPP directions.
