A 21-year-old man paid €2,565 to Niall Minogue of Agriglobal People, an agri-recruitment business aimed at young farmers seeking work abroad, in October as 'proof of funds', and was told it would be repaid in full by November 16. Repayments followed in December, on January 11 and in a final €565 shortly before a February 2024 article in which Mr Minogue apologised to people still waiting for money. In September 2025 Mr Minogue appeared at Kilkenny District Court, where he was charged with 14 counts of making a gain or loss by deception and three of money laundering, which he is contesting.
