On 15 December 2025, gardaí removed Neil Hughes, a 35-year-old man from Glasnevin, Dublin, from Ryanair flight FR7031 after the flight from Faro, Portugal, to Dublin was diverted to Cork Airport because of his behaviour. He was arrested at Cork Airport that day. On 16 December he was charged at Cork District Court with being intoxicated on board and with behaviour likely to cause serious offence or annoyance, and Judge Mary Dorgan granted bail with a €1,500 bond and passport surrender.
