latest first- Arson case adjourned at Letterkenny Circuit Court Arson · Co. Donegal
A fire on 19 April 2019 in Drumnacart and Kincasslagh, Donegal, caused over €300,000 in damage to four properties. Anthony O'Donnell, a 79-year-old man from Burtonport, was charged with four counts of arson under the Criminal Damage Act 1991. The properties belonged to Ann Beggs, Eugene Morgan, Nancy McLaughlin, and Stefan Bullon. O'Donnell failed to appear at Letterkenny Circuit Court in July 2025, and the judge adjourned the matter to October on the defence's application. The defence contested his capacity to attend court, and he is reportedly now living in the Birmingham area of England.
