    Eoin Hannan, 49, of Corbally, Limerick, was convicted of harassing Ciara Hassett at various locations between February 14 and August 25, 2020, after sending her cards, gifts, and visiting her workplace despite garda warnings in 2017 and 2019. At trial it was confirmed he had never met her and had confused her with someone else. He was arrested in August 2020, charged, and released on bail, and in July 2022 he pleaded guilty to a separate charge of harassing her father. In November 2022, Judge Orla Crowe at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court sentenced him to four years in prison and directed he undergo psychiatric service while in custody.
