  A social media post published on 21 June 2024 claimed an intoxicated Palestinian international protection applicant, known only as MM, had exposed himself to a 14-year-old girl on a 133 bus in Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow. Kirk Loco, 44, a social media commentator from Rathnew, Co. Wicklow, was arrested in October 2024 after Gardaí found the allegation unfounded and false, and was formally charged in November 2025 with distributing or publishing a threatening or grossly offensive communication with intent to cause harm. He appeared at Bray District Court, was remanded on bail, and pleaded not guilty on 23 October 2026. Loco was acquitted of the charge on 29 October 2026.
