Mihai Csiki, a 51-year-old Romanian man, sexually assaulted three women aged in their 60s and 70s at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda over two days in March 2022 while he was a patient there. He was arrested over two weeks later, went to Germany, and was extradited back to Ireland. He pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault at Drogheda Circuit Court in January 2026, with two further counts taken into consideration. Judge Sinéad McMullan sentenced him to three years and eight months in prison, backdated to 30 April 2025, and he consented to deportation on release.
