• Woman sent for trial over drug preparation at Laois property Allowing premises to be used for preparing drugs; possession of cocaine for sale or supply; possession of cannabis in circumstances giving rise to an inference of drug dealing · Co. Laois

Michelle Fox, of 9 Barrow Way, Spa Street, Portarlington, Laois, aged 37 or 38 according to different reports, is accused of allowing her property to be used to prepare drugs, possession of cocaine for sale or supply, and possession of cannabis in circumstances giving rise to an inference of drug dealing, all alleged to have taken place on 28 October 2023. At her first appearance at Portlaoise District Court in November 2023, Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said the quantity of drugs was allegedly very high and had not yet been analysed, and Judge Andrew Cody granted legal aid and adjourned the matter to April 15. The DPP later directed that she be sent forward for trial, and Judge Susan Fay sent her to Portlaoise Circuit Court, where she was granted legal aid and remanded on bail. The latest report, from November 2024, says she has been sent for trial.
