  Michael Sharkey, a 24-year-old man, was fined €300 with two months to pay and directed to pay €350 to the garda benevolent fund at Tullamore Circuit Court for a public order offence in Edenderry. At 1am on 2 February 2022, he was seen acting suspiciously at the Coach House, was aggressive to members of the public, arrested, verbally abusive to gardaí, and urinated in the back of a patrol car. Judge Miriam Walsh told him he was 'some example' to his seven-month-old daughter and that urinating in the patrol car was 'disgusting'. He had two previous convictions for road traffic offences and had previously been disqualified for four years.
