    Gardaí investigated three linked robbery and attempted robbery incidents in Dundalk, Co. Louth, on 24 June, 18 July and 20 July 2023, in which three men were allegedly targeted after meeting through the Grindr app. Michael Quinn, 24, of Coolock, Dublin, was arrested on Friday 21 July 2023 and charged, and on 22 July 2023 he was granted bail of €1,000 with strict conditions at Dublin District Court. On 21 January 2025 he was reported jailed for a total of eight and a half years at Dundalk Circuit Court after pleading guilty to two robbery counts, falsely imprisoning one man and assaulting another, with 18 months of Probation Service supervision after release.
