latest first- Appeal rejected in assault causing harm case at Dublin Airport Assault causing harm · Co. Dublin
A 55-year-old taxi driver, Feliks Andrianov, assaulted Irish security guard Michael Norris at a McDonald's restaurant at Dublin Airport on 5 July 2019 after the guard clamped his car in a customer car park. Andrianov was found guilty of assault causing harm by a unanimous jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court in July 2024 and sentenced in November 2024 to 18 months in prison, suspended for 18 months. He appealed to the Court of Appeal, arguing the jury was biased because its lunch was partly State-funded and his legal representatives failed to present a legitimate defence. The Court of Appeal rejected his appeal on 10 November 2025, with the judge saying the submissions 'defy sense'.
