Tony Ward, a 53-year-old man and Dublin City Council worker, was caught transporting cannabis in his work vehicle when he handed a package to Michael Little, a 57-year-old man, while driving a Dublin City Council lorry. Gardaí stopped the lorry after monitoring an area where Little was acting suspiciously, and Little tried to hide the package in his trousers. Both men pleaded guilty to possession of drugs for sale or supply at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 10 May 2023. Little received an 18-month suspended sentence earlier in the year, and Ward was sentenced on 28 January 2025 to 18 months in prison, suspended in full on strict conditions.
