Michael Kearns, a 58-year-old man from Hartstown, Clonsilla, Dublin 15, was found with child sexual abuse material on his home computer after gardaí searched his home in April 2019 following a tip-off from an international organisation. He pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography at his home between April 2017 and April 2019. On 7 July 2025 the Central Criminal Court jailed him for six months, with the final 18 months of a two-year sentence suspended on condition of good behaviour.
