A garda in his 20s was injured after being struck by a high-powered scrambler driven at about 40 km/h on a footpath at Blakestown Way, Mulhuddart, Dublin, on a Thursday evening at about 8.25pm. Michael Jones, 32, of Whitestown Drive, Mulhuddart, was charged with endangerment under section 13 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act. He appeared at Dublin District Court on 26 February 2026, denied the charge, and was remanded in custody by Judge Conor Fottrell, who refused bail citing the seriousness of the case and the supporting evidence. The court also ordered that Jones receive medical and psychiatric treatment in custody.

Two builders assaulted a street clamper at Dublin Street Parking Services in Harold's Cross, Dublin, on 4 April 2016 after a work van was impounded. Stuart Cromer, a man aged 43, and Michael Jones, a man aged 27, pushed and shoved the worker, and Cromer made a threat to kill. Both men pleaded guilty to assault, and Cromer also pleaded guilty to the threat to kill. In February 2022, Cromer was given a six-month suspended sentence and ordered to pay €5,000 compensation, while Jones received a four-month sentence.
